Kate’s vision is to bring dance, music, visual arts, and gaming together to portray exciting stories in immersive environments. She works with teams of artists across disciplines to create bold and innovative performance and gaming experiences.

Through her prior production company, Fountain 3 Films, Kate wrote, directed, and produced independent films and video designs for stage, focusing on dance and music. Her short dance films have won awards and been shown in film festivals and museums worldwide. She received rave reviews for the projection designs for Swimmer, a stage production for San Francisco Ballet choreographed by Yuri Possokhov.

Kate has also been active behind the scenes, serving on several boards of large performing arts organizations in San Francisco. Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees of her alma mater, Stanford University.

“CandyBomber Commissions” was a program that paid artists to make new works from home during the Covid shutdown. During the pandemic, CandyBomber also made a short dance film, “Fly Me To The Moon,” to celebrate the original Candy Bomber, Gail Halvorsen, who was 100 years old.

In Kate’s words, “The meaning behind the CandyBomber name is important and is greatly inspiring to me. I hope my version of candy bombing through collaborative, artistic story-telling follows in his flight path.”
